The location of this place is right next to the old city center and the quiet Porcelan museum nearby.

The hotel provides a good service. The continental breakfast is hot with apparently very nice porridge, bakeries & cafes and prison food. The staff are flexible, they keep the place clean.

The hotel with tastefully decorated and budget rooms, in a central area, close to all the nightlife in the Old Town. Located in the heart of the city.

I had a wonderful stay in the old town with friendly staff and a fantastic location in the heart of a capital city's central pedestrian area.

I like the fact that it is one of the oldest inns in Riga, and by that a historical building. It is located next to Peters Church, and the church tower is visible from all corners of The Old town Riga and by that easy to find for a forreigner who is not speaking latvian fluently. The teahouse in basement is cosy.
I did not like the solution of how they serve breakfast. It is ok enough to go in nextdoor bar, but I would self like to choose what I want for breakfast and not all people like continetal breakfst with egg and bacon.. and in august Riga allready is quite cold, so it would be an idea to keep on heat in bathroomfloor and rooms in general so next time I come I do not have to freeze an catch a cold as how I did the last two times.

The original building from 1425! Wery clean. Spacious room and bathroom. Quiet although the very busy touristic surroundings
No drinking water neither in room nor at the reception available (we arrived at 1.30 a.m., all shops were closed of course). No air conditioner in the room (we didn't need it, but later in summer it can be very hot)

We had a nice room at the back of the hotel. It was very quiet, location is brilliant and the hotelpersonal was very helpfull. The location is excellent as its in the middle of the centre and its in a very old building!
When you have breakfast in the restaurant next to Ekes Konvents know that you can order more then one thing on the list and that cost 1,5 Lets krone extra. Not a big problem but you should take notice off. We found one choice was not enough for breakfast. Waitress was not so friendly compared with the extremly friendly staff from Ekes Konvents.

Stayed at the "oldest hotel in Riga", felt like a time traveler. Friendly staff, free breakfast in the nearby restaurant. Couldn't ask for a better location.
Such a shame there was no kettle in the room, had to resort to using the time machine for a cup of tea.

I really liked the historical district and this particular historical facility. You're right across from St. Peters Church in Riga and just a few doors away from St. Johns Church. There are kiosks and shops with unique items steps away as well as restaurants, cafes and bars. It's very cool!
If you're looking for something other than historical this is not a facility for you. Vehicles are not allowed in front of this hotel. If I was older and had to haul my own luggage, I might reconsider staying here.
